i'll be honest — i'm totally on the fence with regard to nitani-sensei accepting momoko's return as soon as it was revealed that the footballer had an official girlfriend, and that she was nothing more than a sidepiece herself.

both taka and yūji have a clear affection for kaoru (she is the only rose in a field of thorns after all), but the difference in chemistry between kaoru and taka, and kaoru and yūji is so obvious.

i really, really, really love these small interactions between kaoru and yūji — they're practically married by now, and it's killing me because the show never addressed what was going on between these two.

i don't think my mother has ever realised the impact of her menopausal mood swings on how she treated me during my teenage years, and how that has in turn affected the ways i interact with her.

other thoughts: i agree wholeheartedly with the writer's decision to not portray katsuraba's wife – that it would have been an obstacle his and tomoko's relationship as "soulmates" regardless if his wife was conservative or progressive, since tomoko was there to guide and enlighten him.

i also wanna talk about katsuraba, and how the writers handled his character as someone who held firm, but paternalistic beliefs on the legal system.
