Trump is closing all four climate observatory stations in Alaska, Hawaii, American Samoa, and Antartica. Because you can't have high CO2 levels if you don't *measure* CO2 levels.

I am so sad to see this. This organization is essential for understanding pollution and its impacts. The people who work there are incredibly dedicated, experienced, and world leaders. This is incredible loss of national investment and capacity.

We do a lot of research in forecasting next day, bushfire smoke pollution in Australia. One of our areas of research is in the use of immersive reality to aid in critical decision making. This virtual national control centre was built in #mixedreality using #FigminXR running on a #metaquest3.
