My guess is that they will allow this sentencing to go through, and then in a later ruling declare that the President can't be put in jail *even if* he's convicted before getting into office. Roberts is playing the long game to further expand the immunity ruling.

4) Regardless of whether Bernie is sincere or politically performing to divide the right-wing, throwing immigrants under the bus is not acceptable. The last thing we should want to catch on is Democrats parroting conservative nationalist talking points. Bernie should be better than this.

3) People often *falsely* claim that H1B workers are hired because they're significantly cheaper, but this just isn't true. On top of the cost of paperwork, there are Department of Labor laws that require H1B holders to be paid the higher end of what their position typically entails.

2) Not all engineers are equal. Laying off someone and then hiring an H1B visa migrant doesn’t mean they're doing the same job. It isn't easy to repurpose a web developer into an AI technician. If you dont understand why a JavaScript developer isn't eligible for a full stack Java position..

I was in a Zoom lecture for a college course. First class of the semester. Many students were distracted and clearly on their phones. At one point, the professor's wife came into the room behind him and said, with a posh British accent, "Honey, sorry to interrupt, but they've taken the Capitol."
