Talking about a NATO ally like a mob boss running a protection racket. "Maybe things have to happen with respect to Denmark" Is there anything that could undermine international support for the US more than this?
Trump: "The people of Greenland would love to become a state of the United States of America. Now, Denmark maybe doesn't like it. But then we can't be too happy with Denmark and maybe things have to happen with respect to Denmark having to do with tariffs."

My guess is that they will allow this sentencing to go through, and then in a later ruling declare that the President can't be put in jail *even if* he's convicted before getting into office. Roberts is playing the long game to further expand the immunity ruling.

4) Regardless of whether Bernie is sincere or politically performing to divide the right-wing, throwing immigrants under the bus is not acceptable. The last thing we should want to catch on is Democrats parroting conservative nationalist talking points. Bernie should be better than this.

3) People often *falsely* claim that H1B workers are hired because they're significantly cheaper, but this just isn't true. On top of the cost of paperwork, there are Department of Labor laws that require H1B holders to be paid the higher end of what their position typically entails.

2) Not all engineers are equal. Laying off someone and then hiring an H1B visa migrant doesn’t mean they're doing the same job. It isn't easy to repurpose a web developer into an AI technician. If you dont understand why a JavaScript developer isn't eligible for a full stack Java position..

1) Tesla isn't representative of the average tech company, which does need H1B visa talent. The current unemployment rate in the tech sector is 2.5%. These people are hard to come by, and the United States cannot lead the tech field with only 4% of the global population.

Very disappointed to see this take from Bernie. There's a reasonable answer to his question that doesn't require populist brainrot or pandering to conservative xenophobia. Let's break it down🧵
If there is truly a major shortage of skilled tech workers in the US, why did Tesla lay-off over 7,500 American workers last year — including many software developers and engineers at its factory in Austin, Texas—while applying to hire thousands of H-1B guest workers? www.foxnews.com/opinion/sen-...
SEN. BERNIE SANDERS: H1-B visas hurt one type of worker and exploit another. This mess must be fixed
Let's be clear: Multi-billionaire oligarchs in Big Tech should not be allowed to hire guest workers to fill entry-level and mid-level Information Technology jobs.

John Roberts is the most dangerous conservative in America, specifically because he is so good at tricking people he isn't one. He's should be grouped just as far right as Thomas and Alito.

Every story that comes out about Alito or Thomas makes the Court’s project of narrowing the definitions of bribery and corruption to practical nonexistence so much more understandable. Disgusting.

I was in a Zoom lecture for a college course. First class of the semester. Many students were distracted and clearly on their phones. At one point, the professor's wife came into the room behind him and said, with a posh British accent, "Honey, sorry to interrupt, but they've taken the Capitol."

Was laughing with a coworker a few weeks ago at the idea of getting a Matt Gaetz cameo as a gag Christmas gift, but seeing the actual page now, it's just very sad.

Tip for the fellas; your wife does not want a $250 cameo from a world-famous pedophile

Cannot imagine the restraint from Zelensky to not lose his fucking mind in this convo. The idea that it's time to "forgive Putin" after he murdered thousands of Zelensky's people for 3 years in a conflict which didn't need to happen beyond Putin's aspirations to reunite the Russian Empire is insane
