TGA is weird this year because I think the GOTY lineup is very good, but a lot of the other noms are INCREDIBLY suspect
E33 taking up half the performance noms, the RPG noms are baffling, no Sonic 3 in best adaptation

Team Star Fox and Samus are funny bc they're mercenaries but in the games they're basically contract workers for the government. Bc nearly every mission is just Federation/Pepper going, "how can you helps us please?".

surprised that this got traction and got people talking, mostly because it's an old anecdote that doesn't really reflect the state of the character now anyway, because AFAIK people are largely happy with how Dread characterized Samus? so it's just funny to look back on now

it is funny how "nintendo didn't actually know what a bounty hunter was" ended up having massive ramifications because it turns out "person who goes and kills aliens for money" inherently carries implications about someone's character lol

i appreciate kirby series for the fact that in any other franchise king dedede would be tossed aside as weird early-installment weirdness villain that doesn't fit with further direction of the series, but instead he evolved as a character alongside the series as a whole

I don't actively watch Precure lately but i watched Heartcatch Precure (which also helped me get into the series in general) for the first time when my mental health was at absolute rock bottom and that show genuinely helped me to heal. It's so unfortunate that it's director has passed away 😔

My opinion is that Air Riders has some unrevealed riders yet. But not because Adeleine and Mage Sisters aren't in. Rather, because only one midboss is playable and I know Sakurai well. He can't help himself but not include either Bonkers or Mr. Frosty. Hoping it's Frosty tho

It's inevitable that at the end of Air Riders story mode Nova will be once again blown up. So it's very funny to me that since you can play as any character as the main character, you can actually force Susie to get off her ass and do it herself instead of forcing Kirby to do it like in Robobot
