When decisions are made that impact people’s lives, we need to be able to hold people accountable for those decisions. When AI is used to make those same decisions, it’s often used as an excuse to avoid accountability.

Most of the fears we hear about the harms of AI are unrealistic, so it is important that we change the conversation to focus on realistic problems. There are three areas of concern that I have about how AI will be affecting our society, and they are the foundation of my policy positions on AI.

With all the buzz about AI we're seeing in the news, it’s easy to get anxious about how it will affect us. Unfortunately most of us don’t have a great idea of what our worries should be, especially since most of what we hear in the news and from tech leaders is science fiction.

Roe v Wade was a ruling in favor of the right to privacy because anti-abortion laws are only enforced through privacy violations.

In the digital age, we're going to see those privacy violations in the form of surveilling our digital footprints.
We found our first 'abortion trafficking' arrest in Idaho: An Idaho teen & his mom were arrested & charged for bringing his 16-year-old girlfriend to Oregon for an abortion.

The county brought 'kidnapping' charges against them while a lawsuit challenging the 'abortion-trafficking' law is in court.

Yesterday Congress passed a last-minute budget resolution to prevent the looming government shutdown.
John Rose was one of the 91 house reps who voted against the resolution, making it clear that he supports shutting down the government.
