I was just going to mention how much I love the look of the Mondrian-style flat Beolabs but a search alert pinged and someone's selling a set of Beovox 3000s for £60 ten minutes' drive from me, I am having several feelings just now

Here's a screed I left in a comment on the vite.config.ts for a work project. TL;DR it's not great news but was also written almost a year ago - possibly Vite allows passing multiple Rollup config objects now, or (less likely) Rollup allows multiple entry points with "inlineDynamicImports".

I put a "play this" note in the Obsidian repo I'm trying to use to replace my grotesque collection of open tabs and email drafts.
I like to put an extremely reductivist description as a aide-memoire and every time I learn more about Baby Steps I'm more entertained by how inadequate this is

anyway long and short i found out a few weeks back that actually this has been a thing for almost 10 years as the "Laser Phosphor Display" by Prysm. it's extremely cool and uses an Indextron-like system to hit all three colours with one beam

no cats but I do have this half-feral triangle head giving me a very catlike stink-eye for sticking a camera in her face when she's trying to sleep through a storm

if that xlr had been wired to explode microphones instead of mixing desks, i'd have (thanks to another piece of cursed knowledge) a much worse intrusive thought to contend with now

It's Death Crimson Day so your annual reminder:
In 2005 sculptor Sumi Takamasa built a "Death Saturn" with the game permanently glued inside into a playable art installation, "Giant Crimson". It has a light gun the size of a compact car pointed at a CRT of maybe 21". The game is almost impossible.

Came back to also recommend the "Gravity Balans" which is unquestionably aimed at people too (bisexual|ADHD) for most rooms, let alone chairs, and just realised that it's actually from the same designer again

I also have one of these in my house, and it's fantastic, but it's actually more like the Spongebob episode where he's the wrong shape for his ghost costume and so he shaves off his sponge until he fits

yeah they're now very high on my list, in the mean time I should PROBABLY figure out to what extent my problems with the Goku Bag (fig 1) were skill issues. it didn't tick every box but it's a reasonable shape, eye-searing (positive), and costs "I still have it in a cupboard"
