Anyone know what this gorgeous big-eyed buttermoth is?
A creamy yellowy-white moth/butterfly perched on pink mint flowers. If you zoom in you can see its furry head and what I’m guessing is a large eye. Sunny day, blue sky and lots of tall mint in the background.

Two shiny black beetles, one on top of the other, sticking out of a knapweed husk (is it called husk? Knapweed after the flowers have gone). Their heads seem to be wedged into the plant, with the rest of them sticking out.

Recently stayed up too late finishing Wife by @charlottemendelson.bsky.social , page-turning into the early hours as I couldn’t bear to put it down (and also, how could I possibly sleep after that??) No sleep till 3am but no regrets.
On a red-ish velvet-ish sofa, in an atmospheric hotel room with a wrought metal-ish screen casting fuzzy shadows on the dark walls sits the paperback of Wife by Charlotte Mendelson.

Ventured down to London last week and saw a strange tree in Queen’s Park. The app said it was an ash and suddenly I had a vivid mental image of a pivotal moment in @lissakevans.bsky.social’s Old Baggage. 💙📚
Can’t believe I’ve never seen(/noticed) one before. Ash Dieback has a lot to answer for.

Just finished my second consecutive read of Faith Fox by Jane Gardam. I have no words for how wonderful this book is. I honestly could start it again for a third time. #BookSky 📚💙
