The artists and people who were previously working on the game (Hidden Variable and Future Club) were laid off by Autumn Games, with Hidden Variable in particular not being paid 1.2 million dollars they were contractually owed.

Hidden Variable is no longer working on the game, because Autumn Games broke the contract and didn't pay them 1.2 million dollars they were owed. This is the result of that.

I don't think anyone would buy a camera that watermarks everything it captures.

Even if every single camera manufactured by every single company in every single country worked this way... people would figure out how to hack the hardware. Or make their own shit if that's somehow impossible.

Even if they did do this and didn't completely go under...

Take a camera, point it at the screen.

Sure, you can fight bots, but you can't properly enjoy the experience of competing with other people, even at a beginner level, if you (for instance) can't see the screen. This is impossible to remedy without destroying the game as it is for everyone else. Many other disabilities are the same.

I didn't say "anything", I said "a game you can complete". People are in fact (and should be) owed food, water, housing, and access to public spaces.

Games are a luxury, not a need. If you can't play a game for whatever reason, you can play a different one or watch someone else play it.

To add to this:

I play fighting games, and very fast ones. Those games would objectively be diminished if they were to try to accommodate everyone (and I don't mean getting rid of motion inputs). You can't seriously tell me otherwise.

It's okay to watch other people play something if you can't.

You can't compare an interactive medium to a non-interactive one. Nobody owes you or I or anyone a game they can complete. Not every game is for everyone. Someone will always be excluded.

Having a disability sometimes means you can't have certain experiences, games or not, and that's okay.

Please don't lump difficulty under accessibility. Accessibility is stuff like brightness sliders, sfx captions, colorblindness filters, etc.

I have a disability that affects my hands and I haven't struggled with Silksong.

It IS an artistic choice and the game would be worse if it wasn't hard.
