They all make me nervous, I’m a little anxious dog in the rain

They are always cute in scenes

But I don’t know where to go now. Apply what I’ve learned to my personal art? Sure, I can try my best. Do I just paint more studies? I’ve grasped the concept of painting. Now what?

I carved out areas bit by bit. I did begin to get tired at the waist. There’s a lot less rendering there because after several hours of painting I felt like I understood what was doing. Did I do it well? No. Did I make something pretty? No. But I do think I crossed that painting barrier.

First, I flattened everything to one layer as if I was using a piece of paper. Then I just started applying value using the default Procreate brushes. Hard round brush, soft round brush, an airbrush, a noise brush. I purposely didn’t use any custom brushes.
