And because I’ve already had to remind at least one person- this money gets spent on Earth, in the US, paying people’s salaries, purchasing from numerous companies and suppliers and that money goes on to pay taxes, support businesses etc because that’s how the economy works.

Only in this country do we celebrate military power by risking the literal collapse of the capital’s utility grid… and call it patriotism. Try asking for a new school roof though and you’ll get a weird look and someone in charge asking “How will you pay for it?” (4/4)
