No. But talent + skill is much more important than it was even 5 years ago. AI can replicate poor VO, especially if it's short-form content. It CANNOT replicate emotional nuance.
So, education/training should be your top priority.

1. Non-fiction lends itself really well to author-narrated work. If you have the experience or the skillset, narrating your own fictional (fantasy) work can absolutely work.
But I lean pro for both. Not only for quality but for PRODUCTION SPEED...
I'd like to open a genuine discussion on a couple of things!
1. Would you prefer a professional narrator or an author read?
2. Would a soundtrack behind dialogue enhance or distract from the experience?
