For my tribute to Drew Struzan, I have to give a shout-out to this poster he painted for 2007's The Mist. It's for an (in-universe) movie that's never elaborated on, but you can tell that it's based on another Stephen King story: The Dark Tower, complete with the tower, rose, gunslinger etc.

I tried to explain to my wife once why Drew Struzan was so important to me; I think I came across like a crazy person. Unfortunately this is more or less my default position and I doubt it got thru. But he matters. He did when I was a kid and he will when I am gone. His art is true. RIP, artist💔

Think I’m gonna restart my readthrough of The Dark Tower today. Read the first 4 books like a decade ago but don’t remember enough to just jump into Wolves of the Calla. Excited to get on the path again and finally finish this series!
