And now I’m here… on the other side of university, doing a full time job, married to the love of my life. It really has been about holding on to anything at the end of everything, and I finally feel like I’m in a decent spot.

In a lot of ways I was at a similar point in life as Mae, feeling kind of lost and in between being a teenager and an adult. I was doing a gap year before starting university and felt uncertain about the future. At that time I couldn’t really picture ever being 28.
