I agree, on replay scanning is a boring mechanic and none of the writing is interesting enough to justify it. When I was a teenager in 2001 it was more tolerable

That’s one of the many things driving me nuts about this discourse, I live in ~15,000 pop. town and people still have to regularly leave it to run errands or attend events. Over in “real America” people are constantly driving all over the place, often across multiple tiny towns to do stuff
