Looking forward to a smart, fashionable artist as NYC's 1st lady. I love Vanessa Friedman's take on Election Night attire: "a little personal (Ms. Duwaji has wrestled with Palestinian trauma in her work), a little downtown, a little Audrey Hepburn." Also, per @nypost.com a little aloof, lol #NewDay

Murderland by Caroline Fraser fascinates me because it is working the same territory I've been working on: the intuition that something sinister was happening below the surface. And in the region of earthquakes and serial killers, that feeling was quite literal.

No integrity. If you are going to call Cuomo a liar and a snake, stick by it.

I got one two nights ago that was obviously from Adams. One of the screens wasn't even a question, just a dig at Cuomo:

Actually I got a survey the night before last that I am sure was from Adams. It was kind of hilarious in that way. Also one screen was not even a question, just a dig at Cuomo:

Starting a busy week holding onto my garden, illuminated by that gorgeous Virgo full eclipse moon, still shining in my window at 6:30 a.m. saying: "Discernment, baby. Start seed-sorting, wheat from chaff."

It's hot and so are my plants! Okay, one is not native to upstate New York; it's a Torch Tithonia. I plant it so my neighbors see blooms while I am waiting for some of my slow natives to put on their show. But already ironweed + Joe Pye are on it!

The gifts of native gardening: this time of year, so much is in bloom. But also I've found 4 native volunteers all over the place this year: Eastern Enchanter's Nightshade, rhomboid mercury, snakeroot, white avens. Still some invasives but maybe the tide is turning. #nativegardens #nativegardening

I've written bits about growing up in PNW +my intuitions about menace/danger. (My track team ran at Lk Sammamish Park in 1974; Green River Killer was on my paper route). Some of it is in Heart Problems in A Public Space. But I just read Murderland by @calfraser.bsky.social and it's blown my mind.
