This is how a real train station should look like (this is the one in Antwerp, Belgium). When you imagine if all the people taking the train at one of the ~25 platforms would take the car instead, you realise just how important a good public transport system is (it also has to be affordable, ofc).

I hope more content creators come to BlueSky. For example, from the tech youtubers I watch I have only found @mkbhd.bsky.social so far. Sometimes this makes it hard to completely abandon X (/Twitter), where most of them are posting regularly. Hopefully we'll get there soon!

I wonder how can people live in these (usually American) suburbs, each with his own house, yard, car that look mostly the same. You are basically car dependent with no other transport options. When you think about it, this is similar to living on a remote island where without a boat you are dead.

Hot take: we need to get rid of cars and replace them with a well-designed public transport system inside cities (especially near the city center). Cars should only be allowed where they are strictly needed.
