A unique chance to see this one woman show, written and led by Vix Lowthion - teacher, parent and typical Gen Xer.

Explore the fun and the dark sides of the ubiquitous craze for nostalgia in the UK.

At the annual meeting of Newport & Carisbrooke Community Council I was nominated and elected to serve as chairman.

It's an incredible honour to take over the reins at such an exciting time in local govt & to represent the 25,500 residents of Newport & Carisbrooke in our town and across the island.

SATS tomorrow for too many.
For Xander - he will sit his first GCSEs. TWENTY FULL ON EXAMS.

Why do we do this to our children?! We need to get out of this exam dominated rut and put skills, curiosity and basic preparation for adult life first and foremost.

Today I can announce that I'm quitting teaching, and working as Elon Musk's new apprentice.

I'm looking forward to emulating DOGE work on the IoW. Who needs ferries? Or bin collections?
We can just burn our waste in the streets, and row our lorries across the Solent as part of PE lessons. Win win.

His policies - withdrawing from Paris agreement, scrapping electric vehicle targets, ending support for clean energy - are what we should expect from a political leader funded by the fossil fuel industry....

The General Election in July was an absolute whirlwind. The East Wight Primary initiative was the best of the island, coming together regardless of political colours & working hard to make a difference. Time was against us! But we gave it the best shot possible & have set things up for next time...

Somuch of this continues into next year. I'm also hoping to continue to volunteer my time in 2025 in the same way - theatre, festivals, leading walks and the fantastic carnival community.
