I love Westminster Cathedral. You can just wander in and out as you fancy, and there is a gorgeous slightly bonkers book&statue shop by the side, and it feels *living*. So I make sure I donate as I leave, because I know it costs money to run, and I can *but others can't).

Correction to alt text - the embroidery hoop in the picture is three inches, not four. Four inches was the one I used while I was actually stitching.

Yes - I realised this morning when I was checking the local news that it's automatic on November 6th to be finding out how bad it had been. Locally only a few fires, no serious injuries reported, which is better than usual. Always the fire brigade's busiest night of the year.
