As an industry member, it is extraordinarily frustrating to me that:

1. ACS puts out such a milquetoast statement while its academic members are suffering seemingly existential-level catastrophe immediately under the second Trump Adminstration: www.acs.org/pressroom/ne...
ACS support for science - American Chemical Society
The ACS is committed to working to advance scientific knowledge, empower a global community and champion scientific integrity.

Here is a good tool to determine how much the Republican spending bill would affect Medicaid funding in your congressional district, and an estimate of how many enrollees would be affected. www.americanprogress.org/article/the-...
The Republican House Budget Resolution's Potential $880 Billion in Medicaid Cuts by Congressional District
The Republican House budget resolution would cost congressional districts an average of $2 billion each and could eliminate coverage for 15.9 million people.

When creating PDFs, avoid using "Print to PDF." A screen reader user may still be able to access the text of PDFs created this way, but heading structure, alternative text, and any other tag structure will be lost. Using "Save As" or "Export" can preserve these tags.
