You may not like it, but this is what peak web design looks like:

The bubbles move.
Your cursor is a seahorse.

It's so refreshing to see such "90s amateur website" vibe in the wild.

HUGE news

5 years, Epic spending ~$100M on lawyer fees... and the court ruled that Apple cannot block Fortnite just because it uses web payments where Apple cannot take a 30% cut! (I's not Apple's infra, and Apple has nothing to do with it!)

Now other apps will follow. Massive

Every time I see a graph created on Matlab I feel a shiver down my spine.

Can't help but remember uni days, studying Control Engineering. Such a fascinating subject that I'd love to work with, to be honest. But the tooling was clunky compared to what soft devs use 😅

Building Mac/iOS stuff on Windows? The future is now.

Kinda.

Thanks @intellijidea.com team for allowing remote development with MacOS hosts :)

I have been using remote development with WSL2 for a couple of years, and now on MacOS too. It's been seamless.

The best showcase for Mario Progress Bar IntelliJ Plugin is probably the Backend Status Detail dialog.

I am used to see one Mario running around my IDE. Seeing three of them made me chuckle this morning.

I'm almost making a Desktop PC of Theseus.

Since assembling my PC in 2020, I've replaced:

Motherboard, Processor, RAM, cooling, storage, peripherals.

I'm on the verge of upgrading graphics and power supply.

I will have all the original PC parts, and I'll make it a home server.

What are the things you look out for the most when involved in hiring?

To me: If the candidate is open to being wrong, or saying "I don't know". This is golden. None is expected to know 100% of everything, and most importantly: none should bullshit their way through when they don't know.
