I want the extra mile of confirming this human being's existence and god help us all, she IS real.

Hearing about Udo Kier led me down a rabbit hole that ended with Shadow of the Vampire (2000), and, just.

Willem Dafoe playing Orlok pretending to be Max Shreck playing Orlok in the original Nosferatu (1922) is some glorious carnie nonsense. Slow start but an excellent movie all around.

2. Something blue.

I picture most of the core setting of my book in shades of blue. 2090s Philly, DC at the height of winter? Imagine Lee Weeks doing a taller, more Hive City-like version of Hengsha. Now add some snow.

It's happened before and it'll happen again: The world's on fire and I am procrastinating, so I'm gonna get caught up on #NovemberWorldbuilders just to keep from going insane.

We're going back to the 2090s for this one.

Feel free to mute this thread if #worldbuilding isn't your jam.

I don't have the capacity to feel remorse for this.

This cat just spent twenty minutes yelling at me and demanding I come sit on the couch just to watch him make biscuits, groom himself, and flop for a nap.

What even.

Dude could'a just gotten a quirky Beholder from D&D and everyone would've loved him again.

Hell, 40k usually gets a pass on all its problematic shit because they chase the fascists out and/or troll them into apoplectic fits every couple years. It's part of their charm.

This feels like a vague homage to Ajit Pai trying to stitch together a real human personality by having a large coffee cup.

Lindsey Graham is trending so here's a fun reminder: During committee hearings, one of the GOP's core strategies is to do stupid or outlandish shit that gobbles up media attention while distracting from whatever the committee is actually trying to do.

Case in point:

If I ever gain any real power in this world, I'm going to use it to destroy Copilot. I want this goddamn thing off my Word.

Probably gonna have to bite the bullet and blow a couple hundred on Office 2024 just to get rid of this stupid drek.

I should be doing work or writing, but I got writer's block and restless nerd energy. Know what that means?

I'ma do #SeptemberWorldbuilders this afternoon.

All of it.

The whole goddamn thing.

Feel free to mute this thread if that's not your jam.

(Gonna use Morthir for this one. Fantasy time.)

Bonus points for this gem, because I've hated every single non-security update Windows has rolled out in any of its programs for the last ten years.

My general assumption is that about 50 of these accounts are real and at least 40 of them are smart enough to have me on mute :V

The bots are getting unsubtle lately.

And I say that as someone who'd like those files released, by the way.

Was reading an article on how Destiny 2 sucks now* but all I could think of is my beloved Sunshot.

I quit the game years ago but the Sunshot is still in my greater pantheon of video game weapons. One good hit and you could set off a chain reaction that cleared out Kingship Dock.
