How can someone say they want to keep a space only for a single biological sex not be anti-trans? The proof of their intention would be to ask if they would allow hypermasculine trans men into that space.

Unable to provide a clear path for gender transition, which has resulted in a 30+ year waiting list in England, the NHS is now investigating a 'detransition' pathway for all those it has spectacularly failed.

We must press our elected representatives to act.
Legislation by stealth is not democracy.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission must be transparent about its motives, consultation process and aims.

Chp.1 notes extreme feminists define women as those born with female sex organs and have been oppressed throughout life.
My transition was delayed 40 years due to societal not patriarchal oppression. I then lost my job, now face a gender pay gap and am excluded by much of society. Oppressed enough?

When George Orwell wrote 1984, or Ray Bradbury wrote Fahrenheit 451 did they really conceive their allegories would become manifest as one reality in the land of the free?

The Ballad of Lucy Jordan was a song of hope to me for many years, the notion that one day even the most mundane person (me) could attain a dream.

I will be briefly in Paris soon, the wind will not be warm and it won't be a sports car but I am going to be driven through the streets 🏳️‍⚧️ and proud

Unfortunately I found these poignant vignettes unrelatable to my own transition with one exception that brought me to tears. However, surely that is the point, not all transitions are the same and we need such insights.

But reading the 'afterword' first would be my suggested approach #transitions

Whilst Untamed is in essence a book about Glennon Doyle's feminist reawakening of her life it also has relevance to the #transgender experience and the feeling many of us have that we must not reveal ourselves in case we offend those around us. Hiding and people pleasing is no way to live a life.
