#lectura #booksky #Libros #Escritura

Neurotypicals have normalized complaining about every little thing. That’s why they don’t take us autistic people seriously. When we complain, it’s because we’re in real physical PAIN.

It’s funny how these books often rely more on ego than actual challenge. Titles like “for intelligent men” are just bait, they sell the feeling of being smart more than real mental stimulation.

For example, in Terry Pratchett’s #Discworld, a Scottish dialect was translated as Asturian to keep the local flavor and I think it was a clever move.

English translations often play it safer. What’s behind that difference?

Maybe I’m just not looking in the right places, but it feels like an entire format is being ignored. #Playwriting #Theatre #books #booksky Do you know of any indie playwrights I should check out?

What strikes me even more now that I’ve joined a local theatre group: I never see self-published plays. My feed is full of the same romance/fantasy tropes over and over, but where’s the new theatre? #Playwriting #Theatre

I follow several BookTokers who often talk about this, and many complain about the poor spelling and editing in a lot of these #books. I’ve also seen authors promoting their work by sharing excerpts… full of typos. And then they wonder why people don’t read them.

The game is all about Potions class, inspired by Snape's lessons in Harry Potter. I'm picking it up again now and hoping to finish it soon! It'll be a free print-and-play game on my ko-fi. #PrintAndPlay #BoardGames #HarryPotter #CardGame

Honestly, I still don’t know if I liked it or not. It definitely pulled me in, but that frustration left me torn. Maybe that’s the point?
