Children live in a world that is disgusted by them, resents them, controls them, and uses them as disposable talking points, but they face it with unrelenting fervor and courage.

They find joy and hope in spite of that.

They contribute to community in ways no adult can.

Depending on the child, they have to grapple with the complexities and structural violence of race, sexuality, gender, ‘being an immigrant’, etc. all while trying to just *be*.

They get told they're lazy, incompetent, and moralized with malicious intent, despite their fervent desire to learn, grow, and help people around them.

We expect them to already know how to behave properly and exclude them from community even though harm and boundaries learned.

They're constantly called manipulative, and ungrateful just for expressing needs, and if they struggle to communicate their needs, ill intent is assumed. They’re faulted for not having the tools to communicate their needs or facilitate their learning.

what we want and who we are throughout our whole lives. Adults lie about who they are all the time.

transness is a gift. i need every trans woman to understand that by nature of their existence they have been blessed with the ability to pluck the strands of fate with their hands if they choose to. it is not always easy and it is not without hardship but every trans woman is capable of greatness.
