tragically basic, looks like any old sporter. Also i dont see the finger grooves supposedly mentioned in the 1903 catalog. I'm also not sure where youd cut them in a straight stock.

Something like first pic could work, its a normal m96 with the stock cut like a cg63.

my scope buying spree is joever i would only buy something I'd want on mp5 or a sub-4x or 8x+ as additional German claw scopes

i may actually be able to clean this thing up. Along with the weaver im getting the feeling German scopes are just fiddly little shits (despite requiring full strip to solder mounts).

If you try to ignore the extreme cloudiness, glass clarity is straight up better than my 80s Simmons.

but god the tradeoff they made on all of this is that fucking eyebox, i dont think ill ever mount it. Could clean it up and sell it but its a cool scope ngl

Its at the tier where it looks good unless youre A/B testing but the s&b 6x and kahles 4x i literally cannot tell the difference in glass quality, both are better than my eyes

Not as uber sharp as the German stuff.

Could be dirty lenses or something though, the real problem is the lack of any external adjustments meaning i may never be able to use it lol
