I empathize deeply. I left a position when I moved here, and that position was completely grant funded. All I could think of is how this is going to be such a hardship for so many. (“Temporary hardship” my ass, Musk.)

I used to be irritated and annoyed that unless you knew someone to vouch for you (which isn’t how it’s supposed to work, but it’s how I’ve seen it work), it was impossible to navigate the hurdles of non-political government employment.

Not anymore. Thank goodness. I feel deeply for them, though.

They also have a lot of seasonal stuff that only seems to come around in random spurts. I’m following a couple of communities so I can find out when they drop. This is one of the things I picked up around Christmas that was very tasty.

They have these prepackaged Pan au Chocolat that are decent with coffee. They aren’t super flaky, they are kinda similar to Sbux’s chocolate croissant, but they work. Microwave 18 seconds and enjoy. :)
