A lot of indigenous people in the Willamette Velley died of white colonizer diseases. My schools in the 80s and 90s didn't mention that the most important import of PNW white settlers was deadly contagion.

Let's not challenge them to improve, but keeping them busy on Macadam has for sure slowed them down.
