Unfortunately the red line strategy was very effective with the Biden administration and Olaf Scholz. If Biden would have used the "lend lease" act and provided what Ukr asked for in 2022 they would likely have defeated Russia already.

Were still holding back out of fear and Russia is shouting about nuclear bombs for a reason. It works. Why are we not telling Russia to gtfo or we shoot down your planes, sink your ships and bomb anything that moves in Ukraine? It's the right thing to do but we are too scared.

Back then Russia was completly disorganized, they didnt have encrypted radios, drones or hundreds of thousands of soldiers. There was no kilometer deep minefield.

Russian medidical students were happy to learn that the state will decide what rural village they will live and work in. No need to worry about wage negotiation either.

One hour per month is nothing but it's probably just to get everyone used to mandatory unpaid work before they start ramping it up.

I think it's more likely than not. Letters of intent aren't binding but it's also not an empty gesture so it wouldnt make sense to have signed them if there were any known blockers left. Fingers crossed.

Ukraine isnt ordering twice the number of planes they need, they want all 250+ planes. The advantage of ordering both is that they will be produced and delivered faster. If France can produce 25 per year and Sweden 15 then Ukraine get 40 planes per year.

Countries want many things so it's more complex than that. Yes, US want Canada to buy F35 but blackmailing your customers has consequenses and US blocking Gripen sales would make other countries avoid US tech in the future.
November 18, 2025 at 5:15 PM
No, France wasn't blocking Gripen and their requirement for using the frozen funds is that the money is spent in Europe. The only country that can block Gripen sales is US.

Sweden has allocated €4 billion per year for support to Ukraine, that's enough to cover the full cost by itself even without a loan.
November 18, 2025 at 4:33 PM
He doesnt seem to know how large deals work. The Gripen sale to Colombia includes financing through a loan with very favorable conditions like a 8 year grace period. Ukraine will get even better conditions.

Hamas had plenty of weapons when Israel invaded and they didn't stand a chance anyway. The goal of Hamas is to stay in power in Palestine and they need weapons to shoot any Palestinian that challenges them.

What would you feel if bombs started falling in your city? Probably fear and anger, probably not excitement and happiness. Think about that when you watch videos of Russia getting bombed.

I hope that this gets enough attention that the Ukrainian leadership is forced to resolve the issues he raises so Ukraine can win.
