@pyrenvineyard delicious wine from the Pyrenees hills of Victoria in Australia, situated just an hour from the town of XXXX Castlemain. We love natural and orange wines but they must be enjoyable to drink and not like chewing a glass of sour cider that’s been lost in the back of a shed for 5yrs.

“From Uruguay” is just the flashy clickbait for a stunning Albariño. Refreshing/mineral/saltiness/balanced acidity. Pear, melon, apricot, with white flowers and lemon adding a touch of sweetness. It’s medium-bodied with a smooth texture, and it has a subtle weight from the lees but critically no oak

One of the advantages to being an independent wine merchant is that we can instantly influence the wines we get on the shelves. Just a few weeks ago on a trip to the southern Rhone i had the pleasure of visiting @domaine_chante_cigale in Chateau Neuf Du Pape.

This bottle from @domainedestourelles in Lebanon was being very shy to the camera just now. With mentoring from two Georgian winemakers, Faouzi Issa was helped to bring this first orange wine from Tourelles to us.

Meet the Eradus Pinot Noir, a wine made from grapes grown on a narrow terrace at the edge of the Awatere River in New Zealand. This land, shaped by a fault line, a river, and the mighty Pacific Ocean, is known for its stony, dry, windy, and cool climate.

The place comes after the description this time as here we have a Pinot Noir bursting with fresh, juicy berries and the delightful crispness of stony soils. It’s incredibly expressive and stylish while maintaining a sophistication much more recommended to its Burgundian cousin once remove

This Brachetto grape was originally from the south of France, the team make a red wine at just 5.5% alcohol with a spritz of fizz that elevates the glass to be a real treat. Sweeter raspberry fruit with rose petals jump to your nose followed by cherry and shock horror red grapes once you taste it.

CHARDONNAY!

A word that often is received with a screwed face and “eeew anything but” but it’s ok to be wrong. The most adaptable of grapes it will succeed in all huge spread of terroirs.

This gem CAP AU SUD is a Trojan horse as it’s also 50% Aligote, the only other variety permitted in Burgundy.
