Recent recommendations: the movie adaptation of “Wicked” is a wonder, the novel “James” by Percival Everett is the best thing I’ve read in ages, and the respective new albums by The Cure and Michael Kiwanuka are phenomenal. Kendrick’s new album is…fine, but I don’t know if I’ll keep it in rotation.
