Saw Star Trek Academy episode 6, wow, wow, WOW. More thoughts later.

Trying to keep it spoiler-free for my friends and other followers.

@seanferrick.bsky.social Question: When will season two of Star Trek Academy start filming?
I do like the show so far. I thought ep 3 and 4 were very good. 1 and 2 are pretty good. More ST/Hogwarts, please, with a touch of the PG version of Animal House.
Avg age of ST Academy viewer and IQ? 🤔

I hate streaming TV. Because you have to find or be suggested similar shows. No flipping through the channels to find something good like ST Academy. If people give Academy half a chance it think they would love it.

Are you having a Razzie Awards party on March 14, 2026? Maybe it's something that united all Star Trek fans when the Section 31 movie received all of those Razzie nominations.

Good story about working through depression through Lego and Star Trek. Giving back is important, too.

@seanferrick.bsky.social, you guys need to be selling these. Fabulous fakes bring in good money. Lego minifigures, even the fakes, are out of hand 💳💳💳.

Be the first to do Tori in a Blue uniform and/or Picard season 3 uniforms.
Adding Dr. Pulaski and Tasha Yar to our #Lego #StarTrek minifigure lineup!

These cheap plastic toys did keep Star Trek alive on the shelves. We currently have nothing but items made exclusively for hardcore Star Trek fans, which average $/€100+. Lego got all the buzz for a $399 set. That's the price of a basic laptop or iPad.

I wish you had mentioned how these cheap plastic toys with Spock's image almost ruined us from having Leonard Nimoy in Star Trek forever!

@seanferrick.bsky.social @trekculture.bsky.social Bluebrixx version of a Runabout at Minifigure scale. It is about the same number of bricks as the Lego Enterprise D. It is compared to Eaglemoss small scale.

Minifigure scale isn't cheaper. Rebrickable.com has a load of instructions on ships and bridges for free to a few $€. Two different TNG bridges and Voyager. I bet Voyager or TMP/1701-A is the next ship. Two different versions of TNG Bridges

Bluebrixx a German company? Had the license and lost it to Lego. Here is a link to their product line. Lego doesn't do light by the way.

@seanferrick.bsky.social, at least someone is profiting from Moopsy. It would be amusing if, by Starfleet Academy, Moopsy were a tame pet, and sad.

@seanferrick.bsky.social part 2
I tweeted Dave Blass about this, and his response was the scaling of TVs and wide screens. Also, how everything gets bigger over time, like the average American home.
I believe this is one of the reasons I don't love Voyager, JJprise bridge, or everything after

@seanferrick.bsky.social on your podcast about things that are cringe-worthy or should be avoided in Star Trek, I would add my two personal gripes. The gripes are fire on the bridge that goes up the walls, sorry, Discovery. Next, the bridges are so wide that I have no idea who is on them.
