Took some inspiration from concept artist Paul Richards and his exercise of messing with design proportions to make all these funky derivatives of the Mexican Alligator Lizard.

Accidentally made a couple dragons I think, oh well.

This #worldwildlifeday I don’t mean to bring down the mood but rather lift up yall reading into action. I was lifted up this week upon hearing that the Gulf of Mexico Whale has had many of its legal protections rolled back by the federal government in collaboration with ocean drilling companies.

Recently started using the Fathomverse app by MBARI and it’s really cool. You basically are tasked with sorting photos of deep sea animals to help scientists identify them and there’s a non-zero chance that a photo you are given is one of a species not yet recognized by science which is neat.

Updated some concept art done for a show pitch that some friends and I are putting together called "Age of Monotremes", set in a timeline where monotremes took over rather than other mammals. This elephant-sized predator, a Shajo, hunts even more dangerous megafauna and is thus also greatly armored.
