New! Cassetteboy vs Keir Starmer.

This took absolutely ages, so if you'd like to buy us a coffee at ko-fi.com/cassetteboy we'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

The culture of actively listening to music is fading. Albums are seen as outdated, and even a 3-minute song feels too long for many.

Some Gold radio station running the Festive Fifty. John Peel wouldn't be happy.

Checking the #steam Christmas Sale and I find it faintly amusing that despite a 40% discount, Starfield is still £35.99, and that's just the standard version.

Ordered three albums from three different sellers on #discogs this week. All three couldn't fulfill the orders for a variety of reasons. Disappointing.

I'm feeling sad leaving Wales after a great weekend meeting other learners of Welsh

As someone learning Welsh and living just outside Wales I get excited by this sort of thing.

The weather has been appalling in south Wales today but had a bracing walk down by the sea by Llinelli.

It's that time of year again where I try and get into making #c64 music. Not 100% sure why this man who has been making chip tunes since 1992 has failed so miserably to get it to click but there you go.

Anyway, started by spending an hour getting the colours in SID Factory 2 just right.

Said it before but I'm saying it again: ads on #twitch are too long. I'd put up with them if they were, say, 5 seconds. Obviously I wish they could be blocked, but apparently ads literally make the world go round.

Bought a new pair of shoes, and because I am so cack-handed when it comes to lacing them I always go to this site for some ideas - www.fieggen.com/shoelace/lac... - been going there for the best part of 20 years. When I visit it feels like the good old days of the internet.
Shoe Lacing Methods
An extensive selection of shoe lacing tutorials, including traditional, decorative, functional and military methods.

Asking the vitally important questions: is it me or are Jaffa Cakes pathetic these days? They're about 2 inches round, have a microscopic blob of orange on them, you can literally fit one in your mouth whole with no bother. And a single pack was £1.75 at my local mini Morrisons.

Seeing Zoe Ball and Scott Mills in the news reminds me of when I was at uni in the late 90s and Scott Mills would do both his and Zoe Ball's breakfast show on Radio 1 as she'd overdone it the night before and not turned up. #BBCRadio2
