Cause usually there isn't nuance to the decision to make the dude trans. There's no exploration of what that means, of what he feels about his body, how he navigates the world/society/sex, etc. The decision is nothing more than to give him a vagina and a womb and make him more fem for some reason.

yeah I think there may be a link to the uke-fication of Viktor. Like it is a trope in a lot of weird straight romances where the guy is/looks/acts way older than the girl so. I may be reaching here but this might be another "bottom = young = innocent = femme" thingy. :/
