Came into the store today to find some letters addressed to kids who wrote to Santa and put them in our Santa mailbox! Guess I’ll be delivering them this Christmas Eve day!

Our nonprofit Reading Is Revolutionary held its first Packhorse Library at RB Tullis Library! Books were given to children in honor of packhorse librarians who headed out on horseback during the Great Depression to pass out reading materials in remote areas of Appalachia. readingisrevolutionary.org.

Reading Is Revolutionary (RIR) founder Teresa Kenney has some exciting news! She spoke with the Harris County Library System’s executive director today and they want to partner with our packhorse libraries! They join the Montgomery County Memorial Library System as a partner in the program!

I also have a nonprofit, Reading Is Revolutionary, that promotes literacy and distributes books to kids whose families can’t afford them. I don’t write this to brag—this makes me really uncomfortable. But I LOVE what I do and this year has been rough.
