Thinking a lot about the American flag this evening and how I proudly flew it dissenting our president. For so long, I’ve felt disconnected from it because it’s been so heavily appropriated by MAGA. Today, I was reminded that dissent is patriotic and that the flag represents me too.

I had an exceptionally busy week welcoming Dr. Leonard Cassuto to Marquette for a lecture discussing his new book “Academic Writing as if Readers Matter.” Grateful for the reprieve from the world burning down to focus on communication and strategy that helps combat misinformation.
