unsure, but bc IL politics are mostly at the whim of a large man with a hotel fortune inheritance, i would imagine stratton runs, gets endorsed, and walks to it

i think its kinda like everything politically right now in which balkanization would be hightened. like dem states would clamp down harder because they know what to do and federal response would be a clusterfuck

also many activists would roll their eyes at your "which goal" prudishness. i think things can be outlined, but political action often starts as a *movement,* not a policy goal. im not an expert on this, but shawn fain is.

Again, not sure what's achieved by adopting such a paternalistic posture. a general strike in america has never truly been coordinated and attempted, the future is what we make it.
as for public opinion, after november i have truly no idea how it bends or how to will it. but lets try to. why not?
