I would like to speak up today for the trans community.
You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1

If you're a public figure of any kind, please do this. It's the simplest verification process and you probably already own a domain name.

A public protocol, like what Mastodon and BlueSky are doing, would be great for ride-sharing and food-delivery apps.
Wonder if non-dominant apps would be open to interacting with one another to increase their availability.

My 2 cents. Find every news source the has an RSS feed or equivalent and create accounts that that show their public deeds on here under @johndoetimesfeed
That way we all get access to news without having to wait for them to create accounts first.

It'd be nice if media outlets stopped offering the mic to politicians or anyone who insists on evading direct questions.
Interviews, in the current state of affairs, are less than useless. They only serve the interviewee to spin and refocus the discussion, and not the public to be informed.
