#24 has been pretty expensive for a while, to be honest. The lowest eBay listing I could find was $65, and I do not want to spend that much.

But yeah—generally stuff pre-issue #50 is getting up there.

I’m excited to see if Bloober Team is actually remaking the original Silent Hill. I would LOVE that, as I’m not the largest fan of the Wii’s re-telling.

I would not have understood the plot at all if not for a YouTube analysis also providing me a deeper appreciation for it.

That said, it’s tricky for me to say if that’s really to the game’s benefit. I’m all for symbolism and putting the pieces together, but there’s a lot to unpack in this game! 🤣

I LOVE the story of Silent Hill f, but I do think it asks a lot of the player to play through the game three times over to get the "True Ending". That's a lot!

...It's a damn good story, but I'm unsure if I'm a fan of the constant combat.

I’ll keep playing this game—I just hope that the story can further draw me in. Right now, the music and visuals are the only real reasons I want to keep playing it.

For instance: I had to have a friend explain to me how Lune’s mechanics work. She was frustrating to learn because by the time I had the means to use her larger abilities in battle, the battle would finish and her mechanics would be reset for the next battle.

I think if I were to change anything, I would make each characters’ battle styles and mechanics a bit more clearer and provide room for experimentation, because I defeat enemies FAR too fast to properly register how to use their respective abilities in an effective way.

- There’s so some tonal whiplash in this game. Having a super somber serious scene followed up with comedic levity followed once again by a serious scene took me out of it, more than once.

So far…? This isn’t my personal Game of the Year, but it seems pretty good.

- Gustave’s Overcharge mechanic is also really hard to work on when you’re defeating enemies things too fast. So… he’s not super fun to battle with, either.

- The music and visuals are absolutely gorgeous. I wasn’t expecting this much variety in genre. You can tell the composer had a ton of fun with this.
- Gustave is a very boring protagonist, and everyone around him is unfortunately far more interesting, so far.
