And with a double-click, we can open the “Booth” Passage to see the code. So much of figuring out #Twine and its language #Sugarcube was trial and error, asking a friend for advice, or searching through different Twine community posts.

Let’s zoom in on this section of the Story Map, the Seating Area. Having decided this is where Jonathan would be placed, I thought about his character: what does our protagonist, Mina, find interesting about him? How can I use that to create a Passage that will help readers get to know him?

Here’s a closer look at the Story Map and its bubbles (called Passages). Writing an interactive story starts with determining the game’s golden path (the most linear version of the choices to complete it). In many ways, it's like a #GraphicNovel outline, figuring out each scene and what it holds.
