Let’s zoom in on this section of the Story Map, the Seating Area. Having decided this is where Jonathan would be placed, I thought about his character: what does our protagonist, Mina, find interesting about him? How can I use that to create a Passage that will help readers get to know him?

Here’s a closer look at the Story Map and its bubbles (called Passages). Writing an interactive story starts with determining the game’s golden path (the most linear version of the choices to complete it). In many ways, it's like a #GraphicNovel outline, figuring out each scene and what it holds.

I’ve seen a LOT of film adaptations of Dracula, and I go back and forth on my favorite. Right now it's gotta be Universal’s 1931 film. Bela Lugosi is iconic as the count, Dwight Frye’s Renfield is mesmerizing, and the story is packaged in a way that visually both warms my heart and chills my bones.
