So what I'm hearing is Viktor still takes possession of Jayce's notes, doesn't do anything with them because he's a good boy, but the minute he's dying-dying he remembers them, realises he needs his missing puzzle piece of a man to create magic, and proceeds to hatch a ruthless plan to free him
