I love Victorian maids and can-can dancing.
If David Zaslav is anything to go by, the days of CEOs tanking companies and getting anything other than a gold parachute for their disastrous management are ancient history. Before this decade is over, Crunchyroll just might go the way of the dodo. Too bad.

An entire demographic of Nintendo fans who have condemned themselves to watching everything they’ve obsessed over for years amounting to nothing. It’s fine to be passionate about things you love, but you never ever want to become this guy.

using a Wacom tablet. Also my brush strokes are imo overly pixelated and blocky. Any advice on what I could do to make the process less amateurish for lack of a better word? I feel like I’ve been doing this art thing wrong for too long. Maybe I also need to find a better program than Affinity?

My method of digital drawing has been rather overly arduous imo bc I usually draw out my sketches in a sketchbook, scan it to my laptop, and then trace over and color in the sketch in Affinity Photo. I’ve tried drawing in Affinity but I don’t quite have the hang of drawing via digital programs plus

Don't start with the reference. Sketch out loosely how you want the gesture to feel without worrying about a reference or details and make lines that light up your brain. You'll feel like it's wrong and that you're losing control over your ability to know if the drawing looks correct. It's ok.

I still see Zelda nerds insist that the timeline was a thing since the first game and Nintendo always intended for every game in the series to relate to each other perfectly, and that TOTK upended that trend.

they even made an official timeline to shut people up, it made no sense, and then Breath of the Wild immediately didn’t give a shit about it. based Nintendo.

The entire endgame up to and including the final dive and ending is just perfect. I don’t know how they’ll ever top it.

Zelda nerds swear up and down that TOTK is a horrible game that retcons BOTW because it “didn’t follow up on any of the lore threads BOTW set up,” and it boils down to… theygot rid of Sheikah tech and didn’t make it a core part of TOTK’s story.

I agree completely, and I find this take refreshing given the general consensus at least on the internet seems to have shifted to “it’s an abject failure on every level, both gameplay and story, and a complete betrayal that retcons and totally ignores its predecessor and the entire series lore.”

He definitely has that vibe.

Yeah, and the “hide in your bunkers with your mercenary army” is also a loser’s option because there wouldn’t be anything to stop the mercenaries from turning on them when their money becomes worthless. The executives are just greedy and stupid, I guess.

I guess the executive class believes they can just flee the country if the economy collapses and everyone else is starving, homeless, and/or trapped in debt slavery.
