There is something special about being out early on a still, crisp morning, as if you might be the first person to breathe the air or hear the birds. When the cold air sticks in your nostrils and the ice makes you tred more carefully and appreciate every step.

A great article by Wyl made even better because it taught me a new word - ‘inosculation’, which is the process by which two branches or tree trunks fuse into one another.
