Kicking off Soup Season with a pot of smoky saffron cauliflower soup. I decided to kick up the protein by adding a 1/2 block of tofu.

Peter Lorre pretty much ate every scene he was in. I LOVED the book growing up and was so excited when my office in San Francisco was a block from the spot where Miles Archer was offed by Miss Wonderly (there's a plaque)!

Well, it took eight and a half years but I finally had a close encounter with a copperhead. It’s a baby but still venomous.

The turtles crack me up! They’ll be swimming out in the pond, then they poke their heads up from the water and see me and will swim to the shoreline to check out the HU-MON (I always imagine turtles pronouncing it like Ferenguis do). 😂
