- A feldspathoid mineral
- Forms in volcanic rocks with low silica content
- Its name comes from the Greek word "νεφέλη/nephélē" (cloud) because it turns cloudy when exposed to strong acid #minerals

Good observation. I’m no expert but here’s what a Google AI search says. The 80% is found in infrastructure, buildings, and industrial equipment. The 20% gap is largely due to its use in the past in obsolete applications, or it has been lost or disposed of.
