Being a British parent is so weird bc you're actually worried about paying the sky high rent/mortgage & getting GP appointments but the entire press keeps telling you you're worried there's a trans person or immigrant nearby & the vat on Eton means there'll only be two skiing holidays this year

@theguardian.com your Guardian Editions version of the paper on the IPad is an abomination. Article links to enlarge the text don’t work, they link to the wrong article. So frustrating to read. It’s not something that’s difficult to get wrong but you manage it most weeks

The Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund helps give many children the best second chance at life, allowing them to re-learn how to trust adults. Cutting individual grants not only delays but harms that process.

The @educationgovuk must give parents and carers certainty by announcing the future of the ASGSF by September. If they want help finding more money, halving their advertising and consultancy budget would grow the fund by 50% from £50m to £75m.

The Department for Education spent £46.5 million on advertising, consultancy and marketing costs in the last year. Half of that could expand the #ASGSF by 50%. If the government truly want to expand opportunity to every child, they could reverse the cuts now.  (2/2)

I marched with families who rely on the Adoption & Special Guardianship Fund to help give their children the best second chance at life. This Government needs to rediscover its moral compass and reverse the cuts #CareNotCuts

Extremely disappointed that during the Easter break, ministers have slipped out cuts in support for the most vulnerable children from the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund. I have written to Bridget Phillipson to call for these changes to be reversed immediately 👇🏽

No news from the Government regarding the Adoption and Special Guardianship Fund today. Precisely what these kids needs- lack of stability and continuity. Slow clap Labour…
