Part 2: I’m embarrassed to be associated with people through our shared history or family ties.
They openly embrace their racism and pious faux Christianity. (Trying not to judge but I have eyes) I’m disgusted by white bigotry I see all around me. My goal is to be a decent human being.

I see people that I grew up with, went to church beside, am related to and I realize I never knew them. I wouldn’t want to associate with them! They had the same opportunities as I did to learn and recognize truth. They saw the same hypocrisy, growing up in the segregated South.
