i think in this example, the carryover from the "walk on" music is the reason for the drums during the very beginning of woah there proper, around 1:00-1:40. the next time they played woah there, on 7-22-25, it was back to normal. just my best guess.

totally random but mike gordon covered one of my very favorite gillian welch tunes at the egg with his solo band 14 years ago. and it was awesome. maybe eggy can cover mike gordon covering gillian welch when they eventually make their egg debut 🤓

we saw evan dando solo in 2016 and he was serviceable slash good. hopefully his health has remained okay since then - i haven’t heard a thing about them in a long, long time but am just happy to hear they’re still at it!
